Where we are

The neighborhood:

The Hostel is located in the Campanhã neighborhood, just outside the city centre.

In the area, within a 5/10 minute walk you can find a several good cafes and restaurants,  ATM machines, pharmacies, supermarkets, fruit and vegetable shops, meat shop, laundry, print shop, post office, etc…

The bakery and cafes in front of the train station are open from 6AM, which is very useful.

Most local restaurants close around 10pm, but if you go a little more towards downtown you can find great food and drinks until quite late.

FC Porto’s Dragon Stadium and Museum are just 1 metro stop away, or 10/15 minutes on foot.

Getting around:

We are just across the street from Campanhã Metro Station.

Campanhã Train Station is a 2 minute walk.

From the Metro, Train and Bus stations just across the street, you can find easy access to all parts of Town, including the Historical Centre, the airport, nearby beaches, other cities or the magnificent Douro Valley, for example.

From the Airport – Take the Metro to Campanhã Station.

From the Bus Terminal (CAMPO 24 AGOSTO) – Take the Metro to Campanhã Station.

BY METRO

To the Airport – 35 minutes

To the Historical Centre (downtown) – 10 minutes

To the beach (Matosinhos) – 25 minutes

BY TRAIN

To São Bento Station (downtown) – 5 minutes

To Gaia, Espinho, Aveiro, Coimbra, Lisbon. (South)

To Guimarães, Braga, Viana do Castelo, Santiago de Compostela. (North)

To the Douro valley (East)

BY BUS:

There are Buses leaving from Campanhã station to all parts of town.

Buses to other cities are at the BUS Terminal – Campo 24 AGOSTO.

TAXI OR UBER:

There are always plenty of Taxis and Uber in the area, 24 hours/day.
